Top Cleaning Tips

When you find a good cleaning tip, you want to share with everyone. Here are a few cleaning tips I found.

  1. Removing Permanent Marker.
    1. Clothes – hand sanitizer
    1. Walls – toothpaste or hairspray
    1. Wood – rubbing alcohol
    1. Carpet – white vinegar
    1. Furniture – milk
    1. Ceramic or glass – 1 part toothpaste and 1 part baking soda
  2. Remove stains from toilet bowl. Cut a piece of Drywall Sanding Screen and scrub toilet with Bar Keepers Friend Cleanser. Then weekly, clean with Distilled White Vinegar and Baking Soda.
  3. Banish trash stench. Add a dryer sheet to your garbage can. Not only does it absorb odors but releases a fresh scent.
  4. Freshen a musty basement. Try activated charcoal. It eliminates odor by soaking up damp air. Place the charcoal in bowls in each corner of the room.
  5. Lift garbage disposal stink. Pour white vinegar into an ice cube tray and drop in a slice of lemon. Let freeze. Toss 3-4 cubes down the drain and turn on the disposal. The combination and vinegar and lemon kills odor-causing bacteria, while the ice works to dislodge stuck-on food.
